Virtual cars

Postby ReFredzRate on Wed Jun 15, 2005 12:29 pm

Dudes, what you absolutely have to do is check out the following website:

Digi:mods

The guy running that website has got quite some skills modifying cars using only Photoshop. There's quite some tutorials on there as well. To be honest, the website is so cool, I started myself a virtual car project as well. At the moment I have finished three of them. Since I found the website, my skills should be getting better. Maybe I'll write some tutorials for DEVPPL as well, if my skills improve enough.

Wow! Last one was really great!! The others (especially the first) were hard to notice the difference on.

Yes, the third however is the first one I modified. I don't think it turned out that great, especially when I compare it to the Digi:mods website, that guy has got some seriously artistic photoshopping skills.

The first one you see is a Jeep Rescue. I decided to keep it simple, it basically looks good the way it comes off factory. Door handles and hinges for instance had to be changed, and of course it had to be lowered. It must be a hell of a job climbing into an original Rescue...

The Beetle... It was pretty hard to lower the car, so I skipped that. Tinted windows, smoothed out all of the extra's, like door handles (what do you need those for anyway ;) ) and the front air intake holes (behind the bumper). The rims I added didn't turn out that great, I should have taken some from a car that was in the same position, would have given a better effect.

But for real, check out the guy's website. You'll get a new addiction.

My origin is the Black Monolith! I am a starchild! (2001 - A space odyssey)

I'll try to modify a 50's Vespa. I'll paste it here if it turns out good. >.<

Sweet!! Post it here anyway, I just want to see what it turns out like. Try taking a look at Digi:mods' tutorials, you might find them useful.
