Removing a grin

Postby feature on Mon Nov 23, 2009 1:47 am

Hi,

What's the best way to remove a grin in a portrait photo?

By grin, I mean removing the teeth not necessarily the smile. Just the teeth, so that it still looks realistic.

I've included before and after attempts.

Thanks for any help!

F.

Agreed.

The technique used here was just to copy an area of the lower lip, rotate it and paste it higher up.

Isn't there a better way? Liquify sort of works but it's very tricky...

select the upper lip area where you want edited then select inverse> feather about 4/5 pixs depends on the size you select really. then inverse again try smudging at about 75% try that
