Making Rollovers in Image Ready

Postby greatnessinc on Sun Jun 19, 2005 2:43 am

I've searched the net for tutorials on this but I've turned up very little. I don't want to make a button or task bar; I want to show the original image then the edited version when rolled over.
If one of you could walk me through the easiest way to do this I'd appreciate it.

I'm not really sure what you want to do but from what I understand I'll explain what to do.

If you want an image to be see through so that you can see the editted and the original version when in a roll over state, then its pretty simple really. Make a rollover. (The usual way) now just lower the opacity of the layer you want to be on top (see through) and place the layer u want to be visible bellow it underneath it in the layers palette. Make sure u do this all while you have the roll over button in Image Ready selected.

The other thing I figure u ask is that an animation should play when your mouse is over the button or taskbar. That once you put your mouse over the button it should be the original image and then turn to the editted one after some time. Well, that is not so tough either. Just select the rollover button you want the effect on. Now go to Windows > Animate and animate the roll over state that you want. For example the original button for 2 seconds and the editted one for 10 seconds. It's up to you.

Note: No to touch the opacity settings in the other example.
