Photoshop CS4 display bug

Postby UrbanGuerilla on Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:23 am

Hello

I recently began getting issues with Photoshop CS4 11.1.

First of all it's all of a sudden very slow. Like when I draw with my tablet, the line I draw comes after I actually drew it. Delayed. And I have the Photoshop memory usage set to max (1687 MB).

I also keep getting GPU errors eventhough I have the latest update for my Video card. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have the GPU turned off or on. It's still slow slow slow.

And lastly, the top menu has a display bug, where it just shows either a blank line or part of my desktop or whatever else it grabs, like the top blue bar on the internet explorer window etc (check the image).

My specs are:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
6700 @ 2.66GHz
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
System Model Dell XPS710
System Type X86-based PC
Processor x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~2660 Mhz
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS

Do anyone have a solution for these problems? I think the problems started after I did some updates (display driver and windows update), but I am not sure. All I know is that these issues are new for me, as in they started this week.

Your specs are sufficient enough. Maybe you need to reinstall it. Then do some cleaning in your hard disk. Defrag your hard disk and delete some unnecessary files. Hope it will help. :)
