THe problem is, when I try making the rectangulare shape (the gray thing where your name is) the rounded rectangle dissapears. Took a screenshot of it:

ok, your mode is like a mask mode, or somthing.. i'm not on my computer right now, so i can't see what the official names are.. but.. for example, on the upper left hand corner of your screen shot, under image and layer, click a different setting of the 3. I THINK that's right, then instead of giving you what it does, you will just get a filled shape instead of just a mask. hard to explain, but should fix the problem, if i understand it right. I'll check in a few hours when i get off work.
