PC Crash

When ever i start a game my screen goes all black and the PC crashes. I just formatted my PC but the problem still didnt go away. What I am wondering is what the problem could be? The graphic card giving up on me?

maybe... might be a motherboard problem... is it over heating?

I had that problem some years ago, I just changed to another driver and the problem was solved.
