I put together the home page for my site recently and decided today that I will be re-coding it in CSS, using no table tags, etc.

Let me know what you think of the layout and design, and how difficult you think it may be for me to re-code the whole thing.

Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to help me out with this (as I am just learning the coding for table-less websites), please let me know and it would be most appreciated and you will be credited on my site.

Thanks, and here's the link: Memory Squared

Wow, nice layout.

I don't think it will be so difficult, because it seems you have only started with those pages. It gets kinda boring (and long lasting) when you have tons of php pages, and have to get rid of all the tables, and configure them etc.

I think you only need about 5-15 different divs (+classes). It depends. Very easy if you already know some css :)

Edit: Oh and take a look at http://csszengarden.com/, lots of examples :)

Yeah, I didn't think it was impossible either :)

I haven't ever put together a layout with CSS, so I'm a LITTLE lost. I've been reading up on it and it seems easy enough.

My only worry is that my layouts are very much like a puzzle, whereas the images are broken up into many and then I piece them together with table cells. So I wonder how I can do the same thing with CSS.

Yeah, you should be able to.

I'm a beginner also in css, but what I know is that you will learn it pretty fast if you already know some css.

I made also a small example:
http://koti.mbnet.fi/adl2000/css/
... and what comes to images, i just use
Code:
background: url(etc.jpg);

... Also lots of background spamming in this css layout: http://csszengarden.com/?cssfile=/103/103.css

Hey, thanks a lot for the quick layout of the site. I'll work with this and see what I can do.

Thanks again!
