CSS navlist class differences between IE & Firefox

CSS navlist class differences between IE & Firefox

Postby Wynnefield on Sat Oct 08, 2005 8:20 pm

I need some quick help please with an unordered list navigation bar defined in a css style sheet. The navigation bar displays correctly with hovering, onclick, etc. The problem exists when I apply a "class='reverse'" to reverse the background color and text on the navigation element to identify the current page, i.e. on the Contacts page, I apply the class-"reverse" to the "Contact Information" element on the navigation bar.

Please see the following code for more details. The only active links are Contact Information and Home (on the contact page):

XHTML home page: http://www.wynnefields.com/let/index.html
CSS style sheet: http://www.wynnefields.com/let/styles/stylesheet.css

I appreciate any input to resolve this as quickly as possible. I would like to pubish these initial pages this weekend.

thank you,

Wynne

Sorry, I may not have been clear. The actually proiblem occurs when you select "Contact Information". On the contacts page (contact.html), the css class "reverse" should add left and right borders and reverse the background color and text on the "Contact Information" option on the navigatio bar, so the visitor can tell by the navbar, he/she is on the contacts page ... ??

thank you,

that's even stranger. when i view the contacts page in IE, the only change in the navigation bar the "Contact Information" element has a left and right border; however, the background color remains dark and the text remains white??

in FF, the element is reversed (lighter background and black text) with the left and right borders ... anyone else seeing the difference?
