Probably a Basic stText Problem!

Postby MrBrightside18 on Mon Mar 31, 2008 2:30 pm

Hi everyone,

Im currently creating an automatic email through access and vb.

My code is

stText = "Dear Member," & _
"You have outstanding Fine." & _
Chr$(13) & "Ticket number: " & stTicketID & Chr$(13) & _
"This ticket has been assigned to you by: " & strHelpDesk & _
Chr$(13) & "Sent Date: " & RecDate & Chr$(13) & _
Chr$(13) & "Fine Amoumt: " & "£" & Fine & ".00" & Chr$(13) & _
Chr$(13) & "Film Rented: " & strFilm & Chr$(13) & _
Chr$(13) & "This is an automated message." & _
" Please do not respond to this e-mail."

However this code does not display correctly and instead displays like the following:

Dear Member,You have outstanding Fine.Ticket number: 00001This ticket has been assigned to you by: Alex PaceSent Date: 30/03/2008Fine Amoumt: £0.00Film Rented: CrashThis is an automated message. Please do not respond to this e-mail.
(All in one line)

Could anyone please tell me what syntax i should use so that I can include paragraphs such like:

Dear Member,

You have outstanding Fine.
Ticket number: 00001
This ticket has been assigned to you by: Alex Pace
Sent Date: 30/03/2008
Fine Amoumt: £0.00
Film Rented: Crash

This is an automated message. Please do not respond to this e-mail.

Many Thanks,

Steve
