Problem With EPS files

Postby tslowe on Sat May 26, 2007 3:01 pm

Hi, I created a file with corel draw, is cmyk color mode. I save it as a EPS file. I goto open it with photoshop, its opens, but the colors are all washed out. My reds are now oranges. Anyone know what im doing wrong?

Thanks,

It has to do with color profiles, etc. You need to sync your monitor's color profile with what you're working with on your programs to ensure consistency. And CMYK color is for print material, so it doesn't really matter what it looks like on the screen. If you're making something for the screen you should be using rbg. I would give you some step-by-steps for setting up your color but I don't know what OS you're using and I don't know Corel at all. Google 'color profiles' or 'color management' and see if you can't figure it out.
