Problems with Photoshop Color Replacement Tool
Hi, I'm having a problem with the color replacement tool - the image it is set to RGB. In the color replacement menu when choose the color I want to change to, when I try to change the hue/saturation the color bounces back to grey! And if I click the color replacement tool option on the left toolbar, then choose a color and then color the area I want colored, it colors it but the color is luminous and different to what I picked (dark blue would come out as luminous blue). Could you give me advice on this please? It's driving me crazy! Thanks!

not sure I follow but I can make a suggestion. Check the mode of your brush.

Re: Problems with Photoshop Color Replacement Tool
hi,
my opinion...
the color replacement tool is one of those tools doesn't work
as you would think it would from the name.....
to me it more or less like blending the color in the image with
the color you want to use.... depending on your options (color, luninance, jue, etc.. ) or like using a fill layer and changin the various layer blends..
this isn't a very gooarticle but best i could find...
http://www.digitalmediadesigner.com/200 ... 040129.htm
now it works good when your trying to maintain the color tone of the image when you replace a color...
now just for info this tutorial shows you various other ways to replace color...
one of my favorites... http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/colorize
