questions about making a wallpaper

Hi,
I wanted to pick a picture of a woman from a game and put the woman only (so not the backgrounds of the picture) onto a new background.

Can someone tell me how i can do that?

Search for A tutorial that mentions remove or replace background tons out there.

Its probably easier to cut her out in photoshop too.
