:) Quick Feedback & Advice on this image...

Postby Graphics Clive on Thu May 28, 2009 4:00 pm

Hey, I'm new to this sort of thing, but basically I have pasted an image of my friend into another image using CS4, to try and make it appear he is there. He is the one second from the right in the red 23 jersey (although you probably noticed)!

Any tips on how to make the image appear more realistic would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot! :D Clive

You could raise your guy a little higher up and add some shadows around his shoes. When an object is cut like that, it often indicates that it is just that: cut. The replicated reflection on his goggles make it look a bit fake too (maybe try to replicate from one who doesn't stand right next to him). Maybe try to size him down a notch too, he looks a bit tall ^^ (keep in mind that he doesn't stand erect, so he will be shorter than normal). The lightsource on the picture comes from the front, but your guy's lightsource was from behind (see left leg). I've no idea how to correct that tho. I'm a real noob to photoshop, and have no experience with these kind of things.

I think it looks pretty good. The first thing I noticed was the goggles, not your cut job as that is pretty good. The fact that the lighting is similar really helps too.

I think other than goggle cloning it is pretty good.
