For starting with Photoshop yesterday, I would say that you learn very fast. Keep trying, and keep reading tutorials, ans you will develop your skills really fast.

Their pretty good,

I enjoyed the first one of the newest, says a lot.
Mabey you should try getting some new fonts to make your text look more interesting ?
(Why do you vary so much in size?)
btw. www.1001freefonts.com would be a good place start looking.
