Repeating Background

I have been making a website for my band and when I view it on my computer it is fine there is no problems but when I view it on a widescreen monitor the background repeats itself. I was wondering if this is something to do with my HTML. Basically I want it to either shrink or enlarge to the size of the viewers screen such websites as Amazon, Game etc... when you put in a normal background for html it repeats automaticly, if your other screan could veiw it you would see the same thing, your moniter apairently is to small to.

I don't know if there is any way to have an enlarging picture, sry.

I don't think this is the best idea. It is possible to dynamically scale an [img]image[/img] image, but not a background image. I did some searching on the net and I found a couple isolated examples but none of them really seemed to work outside of a specific browser. If you ask me, you are better off just setting the BG image to not be tiled and place in in the position of choice (either left or centered usually)
