Replacing sky in photo with another.

Postby eiger on Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:58 pm

Hello, I am using Cs4 and am wanting to transfer a sky from a photo onto another picture. Am following a tutorial off of Youtube and am doing everything right, but when I paste the sky onto my new photo it is ontop of the picture instead of behind so when I drag it with free transform it just overlaps instead of going in behind. Im sure its a simple thing. Anybody have any ideas. Thank you.

hi,
always a good idea if your following and asking a question about a tutorial to include the link of the tutorial... then it much easier to see what happening...

be that as may...

you probably have the sky layer in the wrong sequence!! ... it probably on the top of the layers.. just bring that sky layer down below the back ground layer your working on....

for example...
looking at the layer pallet
duplicate layer where you have removed the sky
layer 1 where you have the pasted sky
orginal background layer....
