You could add a reputation for all members, like in SMF. Than people could see what members have a will to help them, and who just wanna insult.

Also, it would be good to enable add/remove reputation points just for member with more than 20 posts, for example.

That does sound like a nice idea although i don't know how it would look like on the forums. The simple and laid back colors design on the forums as it is now are very eye friendly

Yeah sounds like a cool idea, and rather easy to add. But depends how easy it would be to abuse. As long as you were only allowed to vote for people once then yeah it would be cool.

...and for security..the user should not be able to add reputation on his own.

--the user who added a reputation to a certain user in a particular thread should not be able to add another reputation in that thread.

How about only adding or taking away rep once a day?
That would stop people abusing the reputation system to an extent!
I know some other forums that do this and its a really good way of showing whos useful and whos not!

I thihk that it's better to add one rep per topic where user helped, and one user can help in more than one topic per day.

I've though of using a "correct answer" instead. When you ask something, then get an answer that you think is good, the thread-starter can mark "Correct Answer" to the post that helped him/her. That will also help people searching for the same problem to see which solution that's the correct one.

All users will then get 1 point / correct answer or something, that will be displayed in their profile.
