I do this kind of graphic work for my employer and have decided to start a side job. SEO is huge for a website but if I don't know what to call it - or my website for that matter - I'm stuck before I started.

It's all about compression ratios, and possibly also the size of the video (height and width).
Just like a JPG is way smaller than a BMP or TIF image.

Because every browser has a different default setting for html tags your page is naturally doomed to look slightly different amongst different browsers.
You can get around this with what is called a CSS Reset.
Possibly the most popular one can be found here:

When you link to your CSS, first link to the CSS RESET. It will wipe the defaults of the user's browser and give you full control over how your website will be displayed.

There is a catch. You will have to start using CSS to define things like Line-height:; and add padding to almost everything such as in tables.
There are many new CSS commands to use because normally Browser defaults are acceptable.

However it is wel worth doing if you really want the unity.

i have a question regarding many command buttons in VB...
i am using the VB editor with Microsoft Excel and i have a form that currently has 60 command buttons on it.... how would i be able to edit the code for all of them at once or may i make it so that i can put them into groups that allow me to edit the properties of many all at once?.... anything that will consolidate this work would be amazing advice....

oh and would the solution work with checkboxes too? because i have about 660+ of them on another form....

hi,
if is PS version 4 you have.... you don't have much flexability from what i read about ps4..

this is another option... irfanview from rifanview.com or xnview from xnview.com ... there both freeware and there viewer graphic conversion programs. there good at what they do..

those programs will allow you much greater flexability in choosing the compression/quality when you convert to jpg..

you may need to go into there configuation section and tell it what compression /quality settings you want for output to jpg..

now keep in mind don't compress any more than you have to.. because the higher the compression the smaller the file size but quality starts hurting!

If you've installed the scripting then it may just be installed improperly. IF you can turn it off, do that, if not try reinstalling.

DEVPPL is going through a big update so the tutorials may be affected by that.
When I'm looking for tutorials I usually just pop it into google and take whatever I can get off that. After you have an understanding of the interface of CS4 just go to any tutorial site and start hacking away at one after the other. Since new versions of Photoshop generally jsut add stuff you should have all the functionality needed for various tutorials and more.

I know you already solved it, but I'll put this here for future reference.

If it's just being glitchy try clearing your preferences. Here are a couple ways of doing that:

1. Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Mac: Command+Option+Shift) while starting Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences file.

2. You can also simply search your hard drive for a *.psp file and delete it. It will be called something along the lines of "Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp".

Under Win 2k/XP the preference file will be found at:
%windir%\Documents and Settings\~username\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\[version #]\Adobe Photoshop [version #] Settings

[NOTE: You need to set Window's Explorer Options to "View Hidden Files and Folders" to display the Preference file]

This is something I found on the Adobe forums awhile back when my Photoshop was acting weird.

This not what you are looking for, but it may be a step closer to what you need.

I noticed today, using Photoshop CS4, when I was saving my images for the web that there is a color table that shows every single color that existed in the image I was saving.

To do this I did the shortcut for saving a file for web Ctrl+Alt+Shift+s and then you should see the color table on the window that pops up. From there you can save the color table (saves as an .act file) and if you could somehow find a way to convert the file to something excel or a text editor could read then you might have what you need.

Hopefully you can find a way to get what you need!

Don't know what else to suggest other than maybe Photoshop's preference file has somehow become corrupted. You might try resetting the preferences to see if that helps. Well, ideally you shouldn't use tables to make a website. Tables are designed to display data where as DIV layers and CSS should be used to display and style the site. It also give you better control over objects on the site so you may find you fix your problem.

For complete cross browser unity you'll have to think about using a CSS reset. Basically, each browser has a preset value for certain tag's properties, reseting them means you can redefine them and make each browser display exactly as you tell it to.

matchmoving from boujou 4 to 3ds max 8

Hi guys I dont know if this is the right forum to post this question so do forgive me if it's not.
My question is that i am trying to use boujou 4 and 3ds max to greate a successful matchmoving composition. But all my effort prove unsuccessful.
I try to follow the tutorials on youtube but they hard to see and follow. There way also a section in the tutorial where i needed to export a bitmap but there was none on my computer.
Please help me by telling me where i can find a

look up on top, your brush by default is set to normal, change it to hue and you can effect the color of the football without changing the shades, so just set your brushes color to completly red and start painting on the ball and it'll turn red!

This is not a Photoshop problem. The "VB" stands for Visual Basic, and you have somehow enabled Port listening, which is interacting when you open PS. As a Mac user, I can't tell you much more than that, but you'll probably get a better response on a Visual Basic forum.

As far as I know the "break-word" is IE proprietary css, which means it won't be recognized by any other browser. Ideally, you should find a way to break your text that conforms to web standards. Unfortunately, I don't know what that way is, I'm sorry.

A little help please

I'd very much appreciate if someone just made these cells of mine clickable. When I say clickable I mean I want the whole cell to function as a link (not jus the text in it). As you can see I already made the cell change their colors on mouseover, but can't figure out how to make cell function as link altogether... I'm doing this for a club and I don't have time to go through all the stuff, but I fancy the whole cell to be a link. OK, it's resolved.

In Bridge / Preference, there is an option to Double Click opens in ACR. Somehow, I have checked it. Now it is unchecked, double clicking a TIF opens in PS. Of course, double clicking a NEF still opens in ACR.

The previous Preference I was referring to is the ACR pref.
