Heh have you read any of the forums about godaddy and dedicated servers? Horrid. I would suggest going over to Serverintellect.com and get a dedicated managed server from them. You will get a HELM control panel. From here you can create your own accounts with your size,space requirements. I believe HELM has an automatic billing system set in place so you can bill your clients too. They are a good company and have good support. Stay away from godaddy!

I would like to tell you about free web hosting service I use now.

They give 350 MB of disk space and 100 GB data transfer. I am now using them for about 3 months and never seen any downtime of server problems. There is no any kind of advertising on my pages too, so I think its worth to signup.

Help preventing Spam: Add a SPF-Record on your domain!

Hi all

As you surely know, email-spamming is becoming a big problem.
With the new SPF (Sender Policy Framework) standard, every domain owner can now contribute in reducing spam.

SPF is an email rule for your domain.
If you do not send emails from your domain , you can announce that by doing this:
Go to your domain-name services at your DNS-provider and add the following TXT record:
v=spf1 -all

Why does this help?
Spammers usually send emails from infected PC's (or open-relay MTAs), lets use the IP-example 111.111.111.111 (= IP address of the sending spammer).
But they send the spam for any email address, example the spammer pretends to be you@yourdomain.com.
The receiving mailserver (MTA) however does not know that IP-address '111.111.111.111'...

Hey cool I looked into that and I think it may be better now. I tried on Firefox and it works fine, but older IE's don't work very well. Its the Media page I am focused on. In IE, the windows won't popup but their fine in all other browsers..

You can use "http://emailmeform.com" onclick="this.target='_blank';" rel="nofollow" you just fill out the stuff you want on your form and they will generate it for you, all you have to do is put it on your page and they send the info to you. Good if your server doesnt support PHP.

For a usergroup I have installed phpBB 2.0.22 using the DEVPPL-template RedSilver 1.03 as default.
I run the forum in German.
Has anyone got german-buttons for this template?

It sais: Images were made by DEVPPL Flash Games, but I didnt know in which topic of the forum to post my question.

I hosted a website with them, and even though I was paying, they locked my account. I called to ask what was going on. The first time I called, they said my website didn't exist, and the second time I called, they told me that my website had been deactivated and put up for sale. Yes as nighthawl said you will have to know php and mqsql. I used 'php and mysql for dynamic websites'. They have a companion website that has a zip of all the scripts that are used in the book. The book covers the very basics up to how to make a site that has user accounts and profiles.
