This is the photo I choosed to use in thistutorial:

In the layer-window down-right, you will find a button that looks like a circle which is half black and half white. Click on it and click on 'ChannelMixer...'

A new windows will popup, click once in the box for Monochrome to mark it, click on OK.

A new layer will now appear. Change the blend mode of the new layer to'Lighten'.

You are now done, here's my finalresult:
