Hello,

so what i am trying to do is re-create a buttons which have ben created in photo shop, I need to save them as gif so i have been using the save for web function of photoshop cs, and it is doing funny things i cant quiet get it to look right, the image is pixilated, the drop shadow turns to custard or the matte colour (i have been using hex codes) dose not match the back ground. so pretty much i want to re create the top image
Help!!!!

Drop shadow doesnt work to well with Gif in photoshop, if you can get rid of the drop shadow it might look alot better, im sure there are ways around it though

instead of trying transparent just use the color of whatever your putting it up against as the color for the bg of the actual picture, its the ghetto way out but it should work fine, that way its a whole picture, but shadow looks good

thanks Shadowssong and May215
so i think i've figured my way round it thanks very much for your help!
how I worked my way around the .gif not liking drop shadows is I duplicated the the text layer and offset and coloured it as a a dark grey. it looks better but not there quiet will let you know what the client thinks.
