Saving an animated icon in Image Ready

Postby jane saunders on Wed Aug 08, 2007 9:57 pm

I made an animated icon in Image Ready consisting of four frames. I selected all the frames and optimized them for the Web. After I closed the animated image and opened it again to demo it for a co-worker, I discovered that it saved only one frame rather than all four. Thereby losing the animation work...
Hrmph... :( How can I save my .gif icon animation frames so that they actually save properly and can be played and used by the developers in the UI that I'm working on?
Thanks for any help you can give.

as far as i know, you dont need to select the frames to save them as animated gif.
just select menu "file :: save optimized as...".

and please remember that not all image editors / image viewers can display animated gif. in this case, they just simply show the first frame of the image.
the simplest way to check whether you have animated gif or not is by drag-and-drop-ing the file to your internet browser program.
