Opening photos as cascade or float in all windows

When I open several photos together, they are all docked together, and the first thing I do is click "float in all windows" to separate them or cascade them. Is there a way in CS5 of getting them to ALWAYS open separately as a cascade. Also I like a tiny bit of canvas to show around each p...

Re: Sliders in Photoshop

Thanks for your replies. I can't get it to work on the scroll wheel, but it does work by hi-lighting the number and using the up / down arrow keys.

Re: Sliders in Photoshop

I've had a look but I can't find anything that looks like the right thing. Problem is I don't even know what term to use as a search term.

Sliders in Photoshop

I have just started using Photoshop CS5. In previous versions you have been able to increase / decrease ANY slider value by hi-lighting the number ... then using your scroll wheel to go up or down (instead of sliding the slider). I cant seem to do it in CS5. How do I put it right ???? Example: most ...

Change the DPI in a batch of photos

I have a folder full of photos at 72 DPI (or PPI to be exact) straight from my camera. Some are slightly different sizes .... but ALL at 72 DPI. I need to change them all to 300 DPI for printing. Is there a way to do all of them in one go. Also, do I tick the re-sample image box or un tick it, when ...

Re: Outer glow

Looking at the photo - you seem to have done it .... but how ?
I've tried and tried and still can't do it. What is driving me mad, is that I've done it before, and I've forgotten how. I've been trying for a week now with no joy.

That's where I'm going wrong. I selected the white / then selected inverse / then dragged the figure onto a new layer .......... and still it doesn't work.

Outer glow

Hi. I've done this before but I've completely forgotten how. I want to put an outer glow around the policeman. I'm obviously forgetting something important, becasue I can get it round the entire square frame but not just round the figure. I've attached the image .

Indoor photos accidentally taken with outdoor settings

I've just finished taking photos of a school festival, and some of the photos I took inside (not all of them) have got a greenish tint to them. Is there an easy way to adjust the exposure for indoor artificial light .... after taking them?

Where is my Animation timeline palette ?

I'm trying to do an animation (image sequence). I've done them before OK, but I've just loaded Photoshop on a new PC and although I can load up the photos ok (file / scripts / load images into stack) the animation timeline doesnt appear across the bottom. Any ideas where it is ?????
