Try with other color. I think black background is too heavy that letters in the center are not given emphasis.

yes I agree with igjoe. I choose the 3rd logo as it has a color that can be eye catching than just with the plain black. Good luck!

just a suggestion, think its better to adjust color where both pix can be look closer "the same" , just before doing all the cutting and editing.

Its dull and boring art you've got. Dude my bro had this old tattoo around 5 years and he just had it overlapped with new designed tattoo all around his upper arm. The artist used this new colored ink, darker and looks so lively and cool.
