Hi,

If you create the objects in different layers, and adjust them within those layers individually, you should be able to alter the direction of the shadows separately.

Hi

With the magic wand (make sure that Contiguous is unchecked) and select the colour that you want, this should select all of that colour.

Alternativley select the white area with the wand, then invert selection.
