I don't see a question.
Any system which can run streaming software which doesn't need the admin/root to install it is extremely lacking in OS security.
I don't know any software for streaming other than, ComproTV in windows, and I believe kaffiene in Linux. |

Maybe your firewall on the mac is blocking access.
or
Maybe someone has been on the router and checked the box which then only allows computer which have been added manually to it. |

Visually its amazing but thats more down to KDE, but the speed end of KDE with slackware is brilliant, I was using Ubuntu and for some reason its going really slow :( My mobile broadband works in it straight out of the box and everything, it also did in ubuntu but... |
