Select + De-Select Tips

Select + De-Select Tips

Postby badboi on Thu Nov 06, 2008 9:35 pm

Hi

I find Selecting + De-Selecting in Illustrator very cumbersome.... does anyone out there have any tips that may be helpful?

here are the issues I have:
1) If I ONLY want to add to my selection continuously how do you do that? I am only aware of holding down shift but if I cross the paths of already selected items they become de-selected

2) How do you select items not bound within a rectangular crossing window, for example I only want to select items within a oddly shapped polygon?

If there are no options within illustrator are there any plug-ins/scripts that may help?

I use other software which selecting is quite simple but in illustrator I always spend much more time trying to select the appropiate items

thanks!
