Separating colours after posterization

Postby HeartBreaker on Thu Jun 07, 2007 2:54 pm

Hi.

I have just posterized a grayscale photo to 6 layers and now I want to separate all 6 colours so i can print them individually

I run CS2 so if anyone can help that'd be great

Thanks

Go to the select menu - color range. Then click on the first color you want to move, and hit okay. This selects all portions of the image that are that color. So copy/paste this to a new layer, then delete it from the base layer. Repeat with the remaining 5 colors.

This works well with grayscale images, but becomes much more complex with color images. ;)
