Fellow pshopers-
Here is the question...I am scanning my images into photoshop for a small animation i am putting together in after effects. I usually get the resulsts i want but i feel like i should step up my game and try to make some of the animation more professional looking as venture deeper and deeper. The question I have is if there is a way to sort of 'fake' vectorizing an image or if there is a way to make it look less pixelated in photoshop. Maybe there is a magical plug-in I don't know about???...I also have heard rumors of illustrator being able to take my pixel images and turn them into to vector...but since i am using phostoshop and animating with after effects...this may not be for me....any tutorials are appreciated or any advice anyone may have that would help me is much much appreciated....

Illustrator is a vector program. You can't change a picture into a vector image in illustrator automatically, it takes some serious time and probably not something you want to mess with for whole albums of pictures. However, there are many different programs that attempt to create a vector, but really don't do a good job. And as far as illustrator doing it for you, maybe there is a plugin, but as far as i know, it doesn't do that. Any way, if you find an easy way to do it, let me know, so for my next class i don't need to spend 8- hours on a project

Yeah I will definately let you know...I mean there is always ToonBoom. It vectorizing drawings but I don't believe that you can export them...If I could export them and then layer them up in PShop...my problems are solved. BUT I am pretty sure you can't export those bad-boys...but maybe you should check it out...the 15 day trial is on the site.
oh well
