simple dropshadow help

when i how can i make the drop shadows the same look left and right



and one questioned

when i create a dropshadow t let say a picture
and then create a new layer and difrent picture with diffrent angle
it changes the two pics

why and im a noob please help me

So you want a shadow on both right and the left side of the reddish strap? Tried making 2 layers out of that rep strap right on-top of each other with each layer dropping a shadow to either side of it? Just a thought... dunno if it'll work.

As kotik said, split them in two.

And to answer your second question, make sure you uncheck "Use Global Lighting", if you do NOT want one light source, but different lighting and shadowing on different layers.
