Re: sound linking

hi,
there several music sites, that what you do is click the link plays and it plays the music while still seeing the current page....

now i am not into html coding, and you I think heck of a lot better than me.. lol ..

but what i notice they do.... is the clicable link actually go to another html page and on that page the codes to play the music... without the player showing (again there probably using a couple code swtiches not show the player .....

this is one exmple of a website, http://www.wilstar.net/jukebox.htm , that does it this way ....
if you right click on one of the music titles (not the "here" ) and do a "save target as" that will save the distination html page and then just bring it up in your notepad or whatever to see how they do the coding ...

hope that helps ...

jason007thomas wrote:I know this has nothing to do with Photoshop but my question is;
Instead of using a flash player to demonstrate a play-list from a CD on my web page, couldn't I just hyper link a title of a song on the page so when the visitor clicks it or does a mouse over on the title, the song simply plays?

hi raven,
It not for me.. i was just trying to help the other guy.......

i am not sure what you mean don't work .... on the page you click the link and it plays untill finishes....

on that site you gave... i notice the text and music is incorporated into a flash file ..... it appears there using the flash features codes to do the rollover, and make it play , not the java codes ... i didn't particulary like that meathod... at least not the way it was done and worked on mysystem .. it seems like if i moved the curor off the text either it immediate stopped or music restarted... that was aggravating ..
