guys, i have a prob.

i have a layer and abt 10 of its duplicated layers.

is there anything i can do to keep these layers spacing equal?????
i.e cordinates of layer 2 has to be at same distance from layer1 as
cordinates of layer 3 from layer2

or do i have to do it manually using the free transform tool?????

I don't think there's any function for that, but when I should do it, I just select a layer (left click on it), hold down CTRL and move it with the arrow keys. One press on an arrowkey will move it 1 pixel to that direction, if you also hold down SHIFT, you sill move it 10 pixels / keystroke instead of 1 pixel.

Well, you could do the math!

If the height of your canvas is 500 pixels, and you have 10 things that are 35 pixles high, there is always going to be be 1 more space, so there is 11 spaces. All you do is take the total height and subtract the combined heights of your object ( 500 - 350 = 150 ), then divide it by the number of spaces ( 150 / 11 = aobut 13.6 ) Now you know that you need to make the spaces in between the objects about 13.6 pixels.

yeah!! thats how i'm doing it nowadays, just wanted to know if there was some better way to do it.

There is a way to do it easily in Macromedia Fireworks, but not in photoshop.

And, to put a pic in your sig, go to your profile (top of the page). Then in the sig section, type

SOLVED!!!!

just installed the trial version of photoshop cs2, it has the solution.

Ctrl clicking multiple layers enables u to choose more than one layer at a time. now select the arrow tool, and at the top right of the screen there are options to space and align the layers horizontally and vertically.
