stdDataGrid

I have an old vb application that uses the stdDataGrid to hold records. It only allows users to select one record at a time. Users want to select multiple records at a time. I tried by changing its MaxSelectedRows property to 0 to allow that; but it keeps changing back to 1 itself. Is that a way to fix this?
