I have created a sign for a client of mine. It is a residential sign which is sandblasted into wood (we have all seen them at the entrance of neighborhoods). The sign maker is complaining that the file I did (which is 100% done in Illustrator CS 2 and received by him as an .ai) is not all vector. He says the stroke around the entire sign which was done in Illustrator is not vector but everything else was. Is this possible, is he right, he can't be can he... if so I have been wrong for a long time and no one else had a problem with it. Thanks for your reply.. I know its stupid but I want proof from other experts because he doesn't seem to believe me.

Did you import any graphic into Illustrator?
If yes, then this is the problem.
If no, then your file should be all vector...except....
Problem areas are if you used the 3-D feature or any other similar feature where you cannot see if you hit Preview mode (apple Y).
