Although I can't see the original image the answer is yes. Simply because Maya and 3ds Max are very very similar programs, especialy the latest editions of each as Autodesk (the creater of Maya) has recently baught out 3ds Max. If anything, Maya has more features and functionality so pretty much anything you can do in 3ds Max you will be able to do in Maya - If not I guarentee there will be plugins to help.
Personaly I prefer Maya, the interface is more appealing to me for some reason. I have had experiance with both 3ds Max and Maya.
