As I'm designing a series of new artworks, I like to post my work in progress...

The idea was to create a sort of saw-scenes here...

I put some images in it, started cutting, blending, correcting...
This is how far I got... I used blending shadows and now gonna ad additional ones for the wrench and others...

I think to create the utmost effect, there should get some more junk on the workbench.. But I tried not to overload the image,...

The only thing that boughters me is the fact the wrench on the right is not in the right perspective it should be :s.. Guess I gonna find myself a new wrench...

bugs me more the bright white on the wrench... And the lighting on the whole thing. There's no real source of light... Other than that, it's good Smile

Therefore it's still a work in progress ... ; )...

The shade I added was more of a... contrast check...
It's going to be lot darker with a focus light on the hand, and its surrounding... As if a torch or flashlight would lite it up ^^...

And fine to see you back here Excrutiating ^^

(And I'm gonna look for a better Wrench )

You say you didn't like the Wrench because of its angle. You can fake that pretty easily by cutting out the Z axis from the wrench. IE: You only want to see the top face of the wrench, but the side face is partially visible. You could just take the lasso tool and remove that side face. You may have to stretch the top face towards the side face to compensate for the perspective distortion, but in the end it would look completely natural to the eye.

Also I would add more grunge here and there - especially on the wrench as it looks to fresh and new to fit the scene.

Good start to this piece Imp, definitely fix the wrench face and i agree with Isick, need more grunge.. It is too clean, but i lke where it's going so far. The hand plas tricks on the eye cause it's hard to tell what side the thumb SHOULD be on, i think it's the left but i'm honestly not sure Razz

Good work,
keep it up

I've adjusted my title style... The Gothic font makes it even more Morbid...

Final result, high res:

I was thinking about a signature version,
where my [_o] logo is blended inside the cross-thing... ^^

Looks pretty good. I consider you to be very good at Photoshop so I am going to get pretty nit-picky with these comments. You should be flattered that the the following are the only 'flaws' I find in your piece as they are very minuscule and would not be noticed by the average person. But this being a Photoshop forum I feel we would be doing a great disservice to not point out even the tiniest of mistakes.

1) I Don't know if the Textura - or black letter - style is the best font choice because it is generally considered a more elegant and humanistic font as it tries to recreate the sweep of the pen stroke. While it comes from the era that is generally considered dark and dangerous it was most widely used in Bibles and more noble works so it doesn't entirely fit. You should consider using a more normal font and warping it or downloading a custom font.

2) This is only noticeable in the high-res, but it seems you cut out the paper mask thing (the white thing in the upper right) with the lasso tool as opposed to the pen tool which has made the curves kind of blocky.

3) I really liked on your high-res when you made the text and the cross scratched and grungey and was wondering why you removed it in your signature?

Great job Impulsive. It is always a pleasure to see your creations. Each one is different from the one before it, but still carries with the sense of a reoccurring style.

Hmm, strange.. I just thought it fits in so good because of the same exact bible reason that you like to put up for me ^^... There's just a context in my head that makes it a great fit, you can't see ( ? )...

My only argument to this is being lazy :d.. ( + never tough someone was going to notice Very Happy )

As you can see in the Wip's, eighter I crop my image in Ps, or use a smaller grunge brush size, it doesn't come out as it is in the High resolution one... So despite of that, I just made myself a clean font ^^
EDIT: I've adjusted it, and used a grungy mask on my title ^^

Isick, thnx for viewing my piece in this way... It really gives me satisfaction that someone actually is about to check it on pixel-level ^^...

There's going to be lots of more of this stuff ^^... (soon)

EDIT: This is a 'fixed' version with a re-scaled wrench and some work done at the mask... Also decreased the vibrance...
