Textbox Validation Help!!!

I am trying to validate a text box to accept only the terms "marriage", "single" and "pensioner". I would like everything else that could possibly be input into that box to be rejected with an error via a messagebox. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I need a little help with validation, too... I need to validate a Social Security field and an email field via html, however I've looked online and I can't seem to find a *working* code. I actually have a pretty decent collection of questions available if anyone wants to get the questions answered in one simple forum:

This form mostly only has to deal with html forms.
