Please tell me why this won't work. And it doesn't.
To increase DPI, copy original image into two more layers. Make each layer 50% opacity. Shift the two new layers just a tad so the pixels don't sit right on top of the original. Flatten.
Why would this at least not increase the appearance of density of the image, if not the DPI?
I know the only way to really do it is to reduce the physical size of the image. Just wondering.
