Thumbnail shows full image; opens as cropped in Photoshop

I have a .jpg image that shows the full photo in the thumnail view through explore, but when I try to insert it into anything (like a Word document) it pulls in as if it were cropped. I opened it in Photoshop and it appears cropped in there as well. Help?

Right click the icon and select 'refresh thumnail' - if it refreshes as the cropped image, then the image has been cropped and the thumb nail just hadn't updated. If not, then I would suggest trying to open the file in any other programs you have available, if you find one which works then resave the file from there and hopefully that will fix it.
