I'm only going to respond once to this thread and leave it again only because I don't have time to keep returning.
Any country that
a) shoves it's poor under the carpet, forces them to work minimum wage jobs that they can't afford the transportation to get there while raising children on their own
b) spends all of it's money on a war that was lost before it had begun for, cause proven false before it had begun, who defied the UN every time they said that the allegations were false, and still couldn't prove them wrong
c) the president is elected unfairly, with money from the richest of the rich, who continues to be as literate as a 5 year old, with a history of running every company they ever worked for into the ground and yet is expected to then manage the nation because daddy did it,
d) forces families into poverty because of medical expenses, and the fact that access to medicine/ health is not a human right is despicable
e) censors their news so much that the stories avoid what the government is doing, propagandizes a failed attempt at war, lies about government spending, and the goes on fear mongering the society with only stories of murder so that they will buy into the latest schemes to boost the economy
f) manages to house more murders than any other country in the world without a logical reason, then continues to distribute fire arms lawlessly, enforces the death penalty after countless studies have proved it inefficient, costly, and not at all a deterrent to crime
g) forces another country to fork over 4.3billion pounds (GB) during WW2 as an incentive to assist the country from sure defeat to the Nazi Army, just so that country can become the economic leader of the world
h) the citizens of that country cannot realize how deplorable a society they are living it because of a horrible education system whose idea of world history focuses largely on American wars, who's citizens can hardly name anything outside of the United States without first specializing in that subject

Wow, where to start. People need to understand that America means, North America (the United States of America [U.S.], and Canada) Central America, and South America. The U.S. is made up of 50 different states, Not just California ("in there minds they are the worlds salvation"), New York ("everyone else owes them"), and Texas ("trigger happy morons with big egos and bigger guns"). While that's all you may ever see on YOUR liberal/censored news channels, there are still 48 other states that ARE like different countries comparatively (U.S. = 305 million people, Can = 33 mil ppl, and N. Ireland = 2 mil ppl). I'd say Canada is very much like Hawaii, stuck in the "make love, not war" error of the 60's, off in their own little world and only care about their surroundings. England is much like New York, superficial, focused too much on making EVERYONE feel good instead of doing what's right ("Doing what's right isn't always popular, doing what's popular isn't always right") as well as obsessed with their own high status. Northern Ireland is like, well, who the hell cares? I mean really, talk about killing yourselves. Yeah, maybe it's getting better, maybe, but I'd still say you're like California - specifically Los Angeles - with their gangs, violence, and self-killing.

Brian, most of my discrepancies are with Johnathan (& his self proclaimed alter-ego - teabags or whatever) and Dflynn. You seem to actually have a reasonable head on your shoulders and can criticize your self/country when it's the honest truth.

The point i've been trying to make is simply that while Johnathan has been blindly spouting the typical anti-US propaganda, he and his country are guilty of all the same atrocities. Only now is he starting to open his eyes and break free of the Anti-U.S. (as much as I hate this phrase) "talking points" he undoubtedly heard from someone who's believes they know the "truth." I'm all for open and honest debate but I can't stand it when people won't admit any sort of fault of their own/country. You can't honestly solve anything when you don't honestly start it.

I'd like to know where you got your stats from, it helps me to grow and develop as a person to understand another persons point of view. Will you post them or send them PM. I'll pm you in case you really don't come back to this thread - though I doubt anyone could stay away.

I got your pm I get statistics from many places search google and look around its easy to sort out the crap from the good its all just commen sence if some site says a statistic quoted from someone else then find where they quoted it from.

I have no problem with debate or knowing my countrys faults you all know my opinion on the whole human race and 1.6 million violant deaths in 1 year proves it but to most they choose to ignore the facts I am a realist and thats why I get so upset at this stuff but hey whats 1.6 million people theres another 6 billion or so spare.
