two tone pictures

not sure if this is what it is called, i am quite versed with photoshop, i have been trying to match an image, one side is much brighter than the other, faded images i just lowered the ammount of blue in the image but when the image is half faded and half perfect, i have tried curves and levels etc but there may be a better way if anyone can help thanx.

place each image in a layer. select the layer of the one you want to change.
Go to menu Image->Adjustments->Match color.
Play with the settings. Make sure you have the other layer as source reference.

sadly i have version seven of photoshop so cannot use colour match but thanx for the advise.

I'm soryy. Can't remember anymore the features of each PS version...
PS7 has hue and saturation, start from there.
