URGENT: SETTING UP PHOTOSHOP COLOUR SETTINGS FOR TV/FILM GRA

Postby Raychl on Thu Oct 20, 2005 2:15 pm

Hi,

I hope that there is someone out there that can help!!!!
I have created graphics in Photoshop (CS Version eight) that are to be viewed on-screen (television). The flat graphics are firstly created in Photoshop, saved as a targa or tiff file and then transported onto a paintbox (tv Monitor) via the file transfer system, Xenomax. The problem is that the colours from these Photoshop files are not matching the images on screen which are exactly the same but created on an edit suite (Quantel, Q-pro). (The colour tone shifts by about 3 shades whiter from the original). The original files that were used in photoshop are actually made from imported files from this edit suite so surely the colours should match exactly?? Is there some sort of colour setup settings in Photoshop or on the actual Mac system itself (Power Mac G5) that needs to be changed in order to be compatible to create on screen tv graphics? I have done experiments with the file transfer system and the edit suite and so I know that these aren't the problem. It seems to be the Mac thats the problem. Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject or are able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Raychl
