|
|
I'm trying to follow the tutorials but have had a problem understanding one certain area and the is "layers"
The directions are fine until it ask me to duplicate a layer (which I can do), but when it ask to mess around with a specific layer, I don't know how to switch from one to another.
Also, does anyone have any tips for manipulating layers and getting started with layers. I've always used effects, but never messed with layers and almost all the tutorials mention it. Where do I start?
Thanks |

Start by looking at the "layers pallette" on the right-hand side of the screen. Most of the functions you speak of can be done from there. To change to a different layer, for example, just click on the layer you want to make "active". The active layer should be highlighted.
You can also change the way the laters are stacked by clicking on one, holding the button, and dragging it toit's new spot.
By the way, if you don't see the layers pallette on the right hand side of the screen, go to the Windows menu and click the "layers" tab.
Happy Experimenting!
