hi,
now i am just a novice... but my self always had a problem with my cs1 with text... to the point a lot of time i'll make my text there then bring into photoshop... grrr... !! ...
with photoshop , if there other layers involved, didn't matter if adjusted my anti alias or change the sizes... still looked terrible , ie fuzzy , pixalated...etc..
but one thing i have notice.. is that if i create my text in it own file in photoshop.. the text will be a lot sharper ( but not perfect) , then I click and drag that text layer to my other image... things are a lot better.....
now as far as ilustrator, i don't have it to test with, ... see if the above works out.. if it doesn't well if you can get it looking good in photoshop then try saving it as a eps file .....
i am probably out to lunch... that what has worked for me.......

When I zoom in on type in Photoshop CS4 it's clearly pixelated. I figured photoshop just previews the text as rasterized, but when I drag the text layer into an illustrator doc it's still pixelated. By the way if I right click on the text layer in Photoshop it gives me the option to rasterize text, so I know it's a vector.
Also, when I save a photoshop doc as a pdfx1a (print ready pdf) and zoom in the text is clearly pixelated.
I'm not a rookie and I've asked everyone I know what the problem is and half of them don't even realize CS4 has vector type.
What am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated...
