Vectorising Logos!!

Vectorising Logos!!

Postby Benz on Wed Oct 24, 2007 9:05 pm

Hi,

I've got a logo and i want to vectorise it so that it can be resized and not Pixelate.

It is not a straight fordward text logo that i can trace. Its more of a text on an image really.

What is the best way to vectorise a logo image?

Any help appreciated :D

Thanks

This is the logo

Dear Benz, i know maybe this is too late to answer your problem but still i'll try.
first, you can trace the logo using pen tool, make the text part and the circle shape on a different layers. after that you can give the text part with a regular linear gradient effect with the right color and dont forget to give it an outline, plus you must put a dorp shadow effect
Second, for the highlight of blue and green part you can use mesh gradient tool (you can search for the tutorial on the net, i usually search on www.pixel2life.com)
and there you go....finish!
Hope this walkthrough can solve your problem
