Want to automatically do the same thing to all pictures

Postby f3rg on Sun May 20, 2007 2:10 am

I'd like to know if there is a way to set the same rules to each image I currently have open in P-shop 7. For example, I just opened about 20 images and resized all of them to a smaller size, then set Auto Levels, and then Sharpened. It would have been nice to do the same set of modifications to every image automatically.

Is there a way to do this? If so, can the rules be saved for later use?

Thanks.

You can do this by recording an "action". To do this...

1.Open desired image
2. Go to menu: windows>actions or press alt+f9.
3. from action palette, choose "new action" click record

now do all the changes you want. after you've done press stop before saving or closing the image.

Now go to file>Automate>Batch

Under the Play section choose the action you have just made. Choose source and destination folder.

And That's it.

Happy Photoshoping.
