Web page size and resolution??

Postby dirtyface on Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:11 am

Is there any way of getting your web site to universally size in any screen size? When I've made my pages on my mac (17" screen) everything looks fine but when I trial it on a smaller screen it goes moves my spaced items all over the shop and the resolution looks rubbish!

Is there a best size, fits all size to make a site to encorporate the very small to the very large screens and why does the look of the site become very pixelated on certain screens?

thanks people...

I would recommend start reading on bonrouge's website.

You decide what kind of layout you wish, a fluid layout or a fixed layout. Which of your preference is, feel free to choose.

Get back if you're still stumped ;)

Thanks man, I can see I've got a lot of reading to do and a lot to learn!!

While I'm on can anyone explain why my rollover giff's have a white line around them on a coloured background? They look rubbish and really dont have the impact I'm looking for.

thanks again
