What effect/s have been used here?

Postby markst on Tue May 01, 2007 1:51 pm

Hello!, I wonder if someone could give me a hand.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/larajade/477361846/

I really like the effect produced in this image + several others by the same photographer. I have tried producing similar effect with no success. I wonder if someone could head me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I don't think that that's a filter.

Hmmmm.. looks like a lomography type of look, but a little more blown out on the highlights.
http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/how-to-make-digital-photos-look-like-lomo-photography/ looks like a good tutorial to get something like this (just dont do the vignetting). With a little playing you may get that effect.

I think i remember seeing something like this in one of my PS books as well. If i get the chance tonight i will see if i can find it.
:)

EDIT: here is another tutorial that uses curves instead of levels to get the effect: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/or/cross-processing.html
