ASP - Active Server Pages

A server side programming language used, mainly, for dynamic web sites.

ASP stands for Active Server Pages, this is a Microsoft technology for buliding database driven, dynamic web sites. ASP pages are server side codes which requires IIS (Internet Information Services) Web server from Microsoft for support.
You can use either VBScript or Jscript for coding these pages.

You can also get add-on modules for other languages like Perl and Python.

You can also get Apache:ASP or MONO to run your ASP based scripts; MONO can help you code in .NET too :)

I would, however, suggest that you program in either PHP, JSP or Perl when programming dynamic websites as you can transport them over to different servers runing any operating system and all major web servers.

Lastly Vipinkailas, why would you respond to a thread 2 months old that already had a valid answer?
