What is the relationship betwn java servlet technology &

Hi friends.....
I am a college student & I am quite well versed with Visual Basic, & i love to work in it.....
now the problem is that i have to make a project using Java Servlet technology & i want to exploit the knowledge of VB , somehow, directly or indirectly in making the project....
Can anyone pls provide some direction/light in this aspect...

Java servlets are totally different than Visual Basic. Java Servlets runs on a web server and Visual basic programs run on a client machine. You need some kind of activex dlls or components if you wish to interact between these too.
